guiding question

Why do we create such dissonance in value between gold and rock when they come from the same ground? When humans don't occupy the world anymore, how will valuable jewelry items return to their place with the earth? I wanted to capture expensive brand name jewelry in a backdrop of ordinary rock to show their visual contrast yet true similarity.

reflection:
- my goal was to revise my first jewelry shoot by contrasting the jewelry with more raw materials like rock and brick as opposed to industrial metal

- materials used: brand jewelry (hermes, chanel, etc), raw materials (bricks, sediment, rocks, etc), canon rebel camera

- photos taken at construction site at night with flash
