major 3

guiding question:

How do the contents of a bag assist in the characterization of the bag? What does it say if a luxury bag constructed of high value materials is filled with trash or items associated with non-luxury, and how do bags relate to what they are full of? I want to capture luxury handbags and purses filled with trash to contrast both the material itself (leather, metal etc. and paper, plastic, etc.) as well as the contextual differences between them, begging the question, without our understanding of them, how are these materials actually different?

reflection:

- like major 3, my goal was to use the contrast between the texture of luxury (leather, metal, etc) with the texture of cheap and wasteful items (plastic, paper, etc)

- materials used: luxury bags (fendi, bottega veneta, valentino, etc), pes photo studio, external light, canon camera, lightroom and photoshop

-photos taken at parish photo studio using external flash behind white canvas
